Now that Isaiah has experienced the freeing grace of God for himself, his heart is filled with gratitude. Then God ushers him into the natural result of any true worship experience in verse 8…
Finally we see that…
True worship moves you to be apart of God’s mission
When I experienced the grace of God in my life, it compelled me to be about the mission of Christ! Now I want everyone I know to experience the same love an grace that I am experiencing. And it doesn’t matter what job or career you have, you are called to the mission of Christ in these last days! This is living for Him. He goes before you and gives you the divine appointments everyday. Just open your eyes! The field is ripe for harvest!
The Godhead now does something in the text that is actually quit funny. They ask a question as if They don’t know who They are intending to send. God says, with Isaiah standing right there, “Whom shall I send and who will go for Us?” The question is rhetorical. The most eager person to serve God is the one who has experienced His grace. Just picture Isaiah, as if he is in a class room full of empty chairs and God, the Teacher, asks who will go for Him and Isaiah has his hand up stretched high saying, “Here I am! Send me.” Mission is the result of a true worship experience!
Now we travel to the Isle of Patmos, were the apostle John is in vision. And he sees God’s last day church urgently proclaiming a threefold gospel message. And as look we look at this church on mission, John lets us know that in Revelation 14:7 that they are true worshipers, calling the world to worship the Lord of the Sabbath. They are a people who understand that worship leads to mission!
You see the book of revelation is a book of worship. It goes from one worship scene to another worship scene. And this same last day church, that John sees on mission, because they have placed their trust in Jesus, He sees worshiping before the Lamb. They are now before the true King that Isaiah saw in vision, offering Him true worship. Ellen White captures this scene beautifully when she says, “Those who, regardless of all else, place themselves in God’s hands, to be and do all that He would have them, will see the King in His beauty. They will behold His matchless charms, and, touching their golden harps, they will fill all heaven with rich music and with songs to the Lamb.”
When you have experienced the grace of God, you can’t keep it to yourself. The private and public worship of Jesus, will naturally compel you to tell someone about Him. The one day soon we will all see the King and continue our worship of Him face to face.
